At nine months pregnant, Jessica received a cold message from her husband telling her not to come home because his family needed privacy. Confused and shaken, she tried calling him, only to be dismissed and told to stay elsewhere while he entertained his relatives. Alone and increasingly frightened as contractions began, she realized she had no support from the man who was supposed to stand beside her.
