Beyond acting, Weston reinvented herself behind the scenes as a writer and producer, contributing to multiple television projects.

She earned recognition for her storytelling work, including contributions to And the Beat Goes On: The Sonny and Cher Story.

She later returned to writing for Guiding Light in the early 2000s, where her creative voice was once again praised by colleagues.

They also shared that she remained active, taking classes and even dancing shortly before her passing.

Born in New York City in 1939, Weston is survived by her son, Jon.
Her death marks the end of a long and influential career that left a lasting imprint on American daytime television.
